Hot on the heels of this morning's leak, Bentley has officially unveiled the Continental GT3 concept.
Based on the Continental GT Speed, the concept previews a production race car that will enter competition in late 2013.
The company was mum on specifics, but mentioned the car will be rear-wheel drive and equipped with "state-of-the-art motorsport hardware." It will also be FIA-compliant, so it will be eligible to compete in a variety of events including 24-hour endurance races.
In a statement, Bentley Chairman Dr Wolfgang Schreiber said "The clear message from our customers is that Bentley belongs on the racetrack, and the Continental GT3 is the realization of a dream we've had ever since the launch of the Continental GT." He added, "The Continental GT3 is set to show the world what the Continental GT is capable of in its most extreme form, and establishes a solid foundation for Bentley's long-term motorsport plans."

Hyundai plans on returning to the World Rally Championship after its 2003 departure with this WRC-ready i20. The car is scheduled to make an appearance in Paris this week, along with possible WRC versions of the i30 and Veloster models. No word about the technical details yet but according to various reports, this i20 will be powered by a turbocharged gasoline engine that pumps out 200 bhp (149 kW).
The i20 WRC that will be exhibited at Hyundai’s stand in Paris will be shown in a conceptual form only as it won’t have an interior. Even so, it’s obvious that the Korean automaker eyes a WRC return as soon as possible.
As a reminder, Hyundai teamed up with Rhys Millen Racing last year for a rally coupe version of the Veloster that had a 4-cylinder turbocharged engine with 500 hp (373 kW).
