Sorry, Update has taken so long:
This
project is now almost complete. I had the chance to finally drive the car for
the second time since it was purchased on 2nd February 2014 [Blockierte Grafik: http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif]the timescales went something like this;
- Purchased 2nd February 2014 - The car had very serious problems that needed
to be addressed - February 2014 ££££'s spent and car went to the workshop for a whole month to
address these issues - March 2014 A visit to PCS for a second opinion - Olly being the subject
matter expert on these cars - March - April 2014 More workshop time
- May 2014 - BOTG 2014
- June 2014 - Complete strip of the car to shell (excluding the drivetrain)
this included everything, all glass, doors, headlining you name it. This was
done with fellow MBC member gurpz - July 2014 - Car delivered to bodyshop with new glass etc
- 28th September 2014 - Car delivered back home
- Next 8 months assembly of car with gurpz (weeknights/weekends on and off)
the MOT time was hilarious advisories for doorcards, mirror caps you name it! - Last parts of trim fitted a few days before BOTG 2016
- Friday 13th 2016 - First car wash since 2014 [Blockierte Grafik: http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/images/smilies/devil.gif]
Hardest part of this restoration was the fact that
everything now is NLA at Mercedes, so had to think outside the box and look to
other countries to source parts - another interesting fact was that one of the
heatshields took 14 months on back order, its now showing as NLA [Blockierte Grafik: http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/images/smilies/wallbash.gif]Anyway the restoration isn't complete, a few more things
to go....[Blockierte Grafik: http://www.mbclub.co.uk/vin/S202/C43wagon.jpg]
- Purchased 2nd February 2014 - The car had very serious problems that needed

Hi,
that's a really nice car in great condition. The interieur looks awesome, like new. Are they still things to do or is the car "finnished"? Is this your everday-car
